For Glenn, the mountains were never just a place to visit—they were home. Throughout his life, he explored the backcountry of British Columbia and Alberta as a hiker, climber, caver, hunter, angler, ski tourer, and, later in life, through his love of horse packing. It became one of his greatest passions, allowing him to reach remote valleys and alpine landscapes while deepening his appreciation for the tradition and stewardship of the backcountry.
The Backcountry Horsemen of British Columbia is dedicated to preserving and maintaining equine access to public lands through volunteer trail maintenance, environmental stewardship, and the care of historic trails. This work helps ensure that future generations can continue to experience the same wild places that brought Glenn so much peace, adventure, and joy.
