Kane Valley Recreation Area Equestrian Campground

Multi years in the planning and development process finally came to fruition this year with the construction of the equestrian campground in the Kane and Harmon Lakes Recreation area.  Located between Merritt and Princeton, with access from three  directions – the Coquihalla, Okanagan Connector or Hwy 5A … it is near perfect.

Many thanks to Recreation Sites and Trails BC (RSTBC), Back Country Horsemen of BC (BCHBC), Horse Council BC (HCBC), Endurance Riders Association of BC (ERABC) and a number of businesses that provided terrific in-kind donations.

There are 13 campsites with 26 corrals (one group site for 3 rigs with 6 corrals, two double sites with 4 corrals each and six single sites with 2 corrals each).  Four manure bins make disposal easy – make sure you bring a wheelbarrow and fork!  Stock watering is available at two different signed locations at the creek between the lakes.

Nesakwatch Bridge Replacement
