Components of Terms and Conditions

  1. Code of Ethics
  2. Use of Photographs
  3. BCHBC Waiver of Claims, Release of Liability and Acknowledgement of Risk
As Back Country Horsemen of BC, we want to protect our Society and our volunteers from the threat of legal actions.
We recognize that what we do as members of the Society contains some element of risk. No one desires and certainly no one plans for an accident, however an incident can occur even with the best plans and organization. With thousands of volunteer hours and thousands of kilometers riding trails, the safety record of BCHBC is exemplary and without a doubt, a statement to be proud of.
In participation in events and activities, members acknowledge the element of risk, and take part in the event or activity voluntarily. Some forms of risk are even a component of the excitement or challenge in particular activity.  As such to help protect our Society and volunteer members that offer their valuable time and efforts to manage BCHBC and those that coordinate BCHBC events and activities, we have developed this Waiver of Liability which spells it all out.
