Belle Mountain equine trails: a must see!


By Andrea Arnold The Robson Valley Chapter of the Back Country Horsemen of BC have had a busy 2021, building and rehabilitating trails, structure installation at the Dore River trailhead and clearing land for a new rustic equine campground on Belle Mountain. The largest and newest project the local chapter has taken on is the Belle Rustic Equine campground. Located 3km up the McIntosh logging road about 8km west of McBride. The Rockhound 2020 Adventure Auction Item a Hit.


The Rockhound Auction adventure Rocks! For Ivan Matthews and Teresa Hunt it was the adventure of the season.  With Guides Rose Schroeder and Linda Buchanan they were treated to the many delights of the Shuswap.  With main camp in Salmon Arm, at Rose's family farm, daily excursions went out either by quad or horseback, rain or shine, sprained ankle ( Teresa ) or not.  The food was magnificent, accomodations superb and adventures lively.  It was several of the best days the two successful auction bidders could have wished for.   Money well spent they agreed. My husband & I just returned a few days ago from this amazing Two- day trip.
